A call to Endure hardships


2 Timothy 2:3 
Endure hardships with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus
 
Have you gone hungry for days without food, clothing and shelter?
Is your marriage on the rock and nowhere to run to?
Are you in a financial dilemma?
Are you facing hardships today in your life?
Are you feeling so much alone and not wanted?
Are you unable to pay your school fees?
Do you feel so much forsaken and no one to turn unto?
Are you a Christian and still struggling for survival?
Are you searching for financial sponsors?

This is an encouragement for you today, it doesn’t matter your situation because God is aware of it all. Even the apostles of Christ passed through a lot to spread the gospel.
How many Christians today can endure?
When today’s Christians miss one meal or unable to pay rents for their house they complain to God. Can the believers of today stand up together with the ancient believers in the times of the Bible and proclaim they are better?

Hebrews 11:35 
Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning; b they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. 39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
They lived in hunger and in deserts, persecuted, flogged, lived in holes and some sawn into two. In all these they never denied Jesus. 

"WHEN HOLINESS INCREASES PERSECUTION ALSO INCREASES"


Soldiers never fear death, they face the death and battle it out. 
2 Timothy 2:4 
No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs; rather, they try to please their commanding officer. 

Characteristics of soldiers
  • They mind where they go unlike civilians
  • They observe a strict diet
  • They go on a strict practice
  • Soldiers live in camps together
  • Soldiers have a uniforms
In these training they develop a unique character that is not among the civilians, they are trained to endure hardships, they never cry but fight to win.
Romans 8:35 
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
 
The ancient believers endured all hardships and they became victorious in all their battles. Our God has promised us victory and He said He will always be with us in every situation. Do not fear in any way
Never be discouraged because God has never ever failed, He has been there from the beginning until today and He shall forever be God.
Whatever situation you are facing, One thing that has helped meas a believer is never to give up hope in Christ.We have been called to endure hardships 

"I WILL ONLY FAIL IF HE IS NOT ON THE THRONE,BUT WHO CAN DETHRONE HIM "

This is the victory that we have already, He conquered all that we too may conquer.Every season in our life has reason.We must fight hard to overcome the storms. In fact we were promised these persecutions

1 Timothy 3:12
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Never quit the race, fight on even if there is no way, one thing I know is that there is greater hope than our situation today. The manifest presence of God is available for all of us.

Among the qualities of God, His unlimited patience stand out as one of the most vital Characteristics He possess. From the beginning till now this quality has been observed from each generation to another.He has allowed His people to be in Scenarios where they have to wait,He allows these dynamics so that He trains us patience. The shunammite Woman and Elisha

2 Kings 4:8 (NIV) One day Elisha went to Shunem. And a well-to-do woman was there, who urged him to stay for a meal. So whenever he came by, he stopped there to eat. 9  She said to her husband, “I know that this man who often comes our way is a holy man of God. 10  Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.” This woman lived in Shunem and was a well-to-do woman. She had a husband but no child.
